Around the Sun, the award-winning, anthology audio drama series created by Brad Forenza and presented via the Broadway Podcast Network, has announced its season four cast. The announcement comes via an embedded slice-of-life profile of the new season’s voice acting cast members. They include: Gretchen Cryer, Joe Gilford, and Sarah Saltzberg, all celebrated writer-performers.

In their slice-of-life profile, Gretchen Cryer (I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking it on the Road), Joe Gilford (Finks), and Sarah Saltzberg (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) chronicle the evolution of their art (and their best-known theatrical properties) with Around the Sun creator, Brad Forenza, while offering insights for budding theater makers. Known for its self-contained episodes, existential themes, and season-specific concepts, Around the Sun’s new season (an epilogue, subtitled Artists Within) takes place amidst the cosmos. Series creator Brad Forenza says it was “exceptionally poetic” to welcome Cryer, Gilford, and Saltzberg into the project’s voice acting orb. “Directly and indirectly, this constellation of artists has entertained audiences, stimulated discourse, and employed fellow theater makers through their generative work for the stage, so synergy abounds among them,” Forenza noted.
